The Inauguration Day was an exciting and interactive event held on February 24th, 2025. It introduced participants to the project’s objectives, methodologies, and opportunities. The agenda was packed with insightful discussions, engaging presentations, and dynamic interactions that set the tone for the upcoming activities.
The Interactive Introduction Session set the stage for an engaging and dynamic event. Participants were welcomed with a series of icebreaker activities, allowing them to connect with each other and feel comfortable in the virtual environment. Live polls and breakout room discussions encouraged attendees to share their expectations and perspectives, fostering a sense of community and collaboration from the very beginning.
Following this, the Meet the Partners session introduced the organizations behind the SWITCH Project. Each partner presented their role and contributions to the initiative, showcasing the diverse expertise that makes this project a success. Through interactive Q&A, attendees gained insights into how the partnership is structured and how each organization is working together to support youth development and digital learning.
A key component of the event was the Virtual Academy & Upskilling Labs Overview, which provided a first look into the educational opportunities available through the SWITCH Project. The Virtual Academy is an innovative learning platform designed for youth workers, educators, and professors, while the Upskilling Labs focus on practical skill development in areas such as entrepreneurship, media literacy, intercultural communication, and financial literacy. A live demonstration allowed participants to explore the platform and understand how they could actively engage in these learning experiences.
The event also featured a Panel Discussion on EU Opportunities, where experts from various sectors shared valuable information on Erasmus+ funding, learning programs, and international mobility. The interactive format allowed participants to engage in real-time with live polls and chat-based Q&A, ensuring that their questions and concerns were addressed. This session encouraged young people to explore opportunities available to them through EU initiatives and inspired them to become active participants in international learning exchanges.
A truly interactive moment of the day was the Upskilling Labs Intercultural Exchange, where previous participants shared their real-world experiences with cross-cultural learning and collaboration. This hands-on session demonstrated the practical benefits of engaging in non-formal education, with participants reflecting on how intercultural exposure had expanded their perspectives and enhanced their skills for the future.
With such an inspiring event, the SWITCH Project is now set in motion, ready to empower young people through virtual learning, intercultural exchange, and skill development.
